Te Kairanga ‘John Martin’ Chardonnay 2018

Martinborough | $41

Our John Martin Chardonnay is crafted from our best vineyard parcels. Succulent aromas of melon and white nectarine are balanced with almond and floral notes. A rich, yet elegant palate leads to a long, rounded finish.                                 Te Kairanga – Tasting Notes

“Gorgeously composed and expressed, the wine shows ripe stone fruit, rockmelon, lemon pith and vanilla characters with subtle oatmeal complexity. The palate is concentrated and beautifully fleshy, delivering wonderful fruit purity together with seductive oak infusion, superbly supported by refined mouthfeel and well-integrated acidity. At its best; now to 2025.” 5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2019 (2018 Vintage)

Te Kairanga

Martinborough

Te Kairanga: Where the soil is rich & the food is plentiful.

Established in 1984, our land was originally owned by the founding father of Martinborough, John Martin. Martin’s 130-year old cottage still stands on our property, and serves as both an historical icon and hospitality centre for our modern winery.

Our wines come from our 260 acres of sustainably-farmed estate vineyards planted on ancient riverbeds. While our passion and specialty at Te Kairanga has always been Pinot Noir, we also make small amounts of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris.
