Ma Maison Pinot Noir 2016

Martinborough | $51

The aromatics build in depth with aeration revealing some nutty oak. Medium-bodied, the palate has good depth and presence of savoury dark-red berry fruits entwined with dark herbs, soft earthy notes and red florals, along with nutty oak. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively with supple tannin extraction in support, and balanced, fresh, lacy acidity. The wine has positive linearity carried by the acidity, leading to lingering finish. This is a fresh, red berry fruited Pinot Noir with savoury earth, herb and nutty notes, supple tannins and a palate carried by the acidity.                                             Ma Maison – Tasting Notes

“Impressively concentrated pinot noir, with ripe black doris plum, dark cherry, dried fruits, spice and oak flavours. Impressive density, weight and length. Although accessible now, its a wine with cellaring potential. Drink: 2018 to 2023.” – 95/100 Bob Campbell – Wine Reviewer

Edward and Marjory Leung have been wine enthusiasts for as long as they can remember, with a particular passion for Pinot Noir. Ma Maison boutique winery is the expression of that passion, born out of the Leungs’ desire to share their love of Pinot Noir with others.
