Drummond Farm Chardonnay 2017

Martinborough | $36

Made from a low-yielding clone of Chardonnay (Mendoza) which small bunch and a high pulp to juice ratio providing the basis for perfect flavour intensity. Hand picked by mum, dad and myself this wine is truly ‘handcrafted’. Whole bunch foot trod (like the good days) in a traditional French basket press, the juice was then left to ferment in 7 year old French (neutral) oak barrels to let the wine speak for itself. It was matured in barrel for 13 months and we are proud to say this wine is unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulphur addition before bottling.
Perfect balance between light acidity and stone fruit aromas with good length and palate weight, well matched with Asian cuisine or spicy dishes. Drummond Farm – Tasting Notes

Drummond Farm

Martinborough

“We farm a variety of grapes at Drummond Farm which include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, and with a small amount of Gamay Noir, Lagrein and St Laurent which we have just planted!

As each year presents itself we decide which grapes will best reflect the different climatic conditions of that vintage before we deicide what we will make for our collection.”
